This idiot had gotten himself put into another dangerous situation. Honestly, I don’t know how Harry manages to find literally the most dangerous situations in a BOARDING SCHOOL. How much trouble is there even in a boarding school? I mean sure we are in a magical school, but still. First year he managed to find a literal magic obstacle course, second year I had to fight a giant snake with him, third year I broke my leg fighting a magic dog and living tree, and this year he somehow gets entered into a magic school competition. Honestly, one of these days his head is going to get blown clean off by one of these obstacles. -Ron Weasely

KAPOW!
I shielded my eyes as the large blast happened. I had done it. I had finally found the right spell to bring about my friend. My greatest friend. My… imaginary friend was no longer imaginary. I slowly removed my arms from my eyes, looking at the being in front of me. A gentle yet determined face. A caring yet intense gaze. The incredible mix of perfection and imperfection. The being gave me an odd smirk that I thought nothing of. I reached out a hand to touch the being, only to fall right through them. My first thought was that I could only see them, not touch them, but I soon realized my fault. My skin, clothes, hands, everything… was clear. I looked back in fear at the creation. That smirk told me everything. They knew that nothing could be created… without losing something in return.

Why should the hero get all the fame? Why should the world remember their name? I helped them through the thick and thin, got them out of the trouble they’re in. It’s time for me to take the stage! I’ll charge and strike- ...and not make it to the next page...

I smile weakly as they all high five, ecstatic from our victory. We did it. The rebellion had
stood victorious. So why was I not happy? The more I watch them, so happy, the pit in my
stomach grows. No one saw what I did. How I saved our so-called “hero” from ruining it all. For I
have no name, no glory. No beautiful lady to embrace as the room echoes with cheers. I have
nothing.... and I always will. No wonder so many sidekicks... soon turn to villains.

I’m not just the side character in this story; I’m the sidekick. I love my partner, the hero, my best friend. My only friend. But as he raises the villain clad in black and his cape flies behind him, the girls swoon, the reporters take pictures, the crowd cheers, I don’t feel any pride in him. I feel neglected. I was the one who tracked down the villain...I revealed his identity, his plan. Yet I am still portrayed as the helpless idiot, only kept around out of pity.

As I laid in my bed, I heard someone come in. My curiosity got the best of me, so I peeked my head out the door. I had 5 minutes until the nurse came to check on us again. The girl was covered head to toe in dirt. She was sobbing as her mom walked out of the hospital. Besides the dirt, she was cute for a psychopath.

Dave watched as Iron Man blew up a chitauri. This is the third time this week an escaped alien came out of the sewers to avenge his fallen soldiers. Save walked by and a blast narrowly avoided his head. He merely brushed off the sparks and moved along. He saw another man round the building’s corner, and upon seeing the fight, screamed and ran. “He must be new to this city,” Dave said aloud and continued on his day.
